Reel is all metal - there is NO PLASTIC except for the part that snaps to your badge.  It is NOT domed - it is flat.  It is NOT covered in plastic at all. The image is permanently applied to a metal insert which is affixed to the badge reel with strong adhesive. Reel is made from zinc alloy, measures approximately 1.6 inches in diameter, and is very sturdy.  There is a smooth money-style clip on the back of the reel that will not snag clothing. Includes a snap closure to attach to ID or keys. Best of all - the nylon retractable cord is a generous 24 inches long! 

Only top quality inks and materials are used to produce vibrant, brilliant colors that will not fade or scratch.  The badge reel is NOT waterproof.

The image is permanently fused to the reel using a high temperature / pressure process.  The image will not fade, chip, crack, or peel and can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth.
